Alpha Packaging Expands Line With Four New Styles

Alpha Packaging, St. Louis, MO, has expanded its line of PET personal care packaging with the introduction of four new styles of bottles and jars: the Firenze square jar, the Palermo oval jar, the Barolo cylinder and the Venetian jar.

The Firenze jars feature art deco-inspired beveled corners and a low profile. Firenze jars will be available in 125mL, 188mL and 250mL sizes with a 70-400 neck finish, and a 500mL jar with an 89-400 neck finish. The Palermo jars feature an elegant oval shape. The Barolo cylinder is a 250mL bottle with a 24-410 neck finish featuring a gentle convex profile. The Venetian jars feature a 70-400 neck that tapers from a heart-shape to an oval base. Videojet Unveils Laser Coder

The new Videojet 3410 laser coder from Videojet Technologies, Wood Dale, IL, prints graphics, characters and bar codes on a wide range of packaging materials, including certain plastic and rubber material. According to the company, the machine is capable of letter-quality script at over 2,400 feet per minute. Rexam Dispensing Systems, Purchase, NY, has introduced Sof’n Touch, a new fragrance mini applicator distinctive for its spray form. Cleaner than a pen and more consistent than a roll-on, Sof’n Touch affords the high-precision and even application of a fragrance in small doses. The retro-looking applicator works on the principle of capillarity, with tiny orifices or capillaries on the applicator’s head that can both maintain and regulate the flow of the product.

Rexam also introduced the Dispenser Tube. The tube is achieved by assembling Rexam’s SP343 airless pump with fashion collar and pre-assembled cap to a soft plastic tube.
